Karp KRP-350-FR Insulated Fire Rated Stainless Steel Access Door 36" x 24" The Karp KRP-350-FR Insulated Fire Rated Stainless Steel Access Door has a textured frame and bead so drywall joint compound can be applied in sufficient thickness to conceal the flange. The frame and trim are type 304 stainless steel, surrounded by galvanized drywall bead. The door is, also, type 304 stainless steel, with welded pan type filled with 2" thick fire-rated insulation and can open to 175°, is self-latching with an automatic closer and has an interior latch release. The hinge is a continuous piano hinge and is finished with No. 4 satin polish finish. The Karp KRP-350-FR Insulated Fire Rated Stainless Steel Access Door is insulated and rated by Underwriters Laboratories for 1.5 hour "B" label in walls, and may be used in a 2 hour fire rated wall assembly. Additionally, Warnock Hersey rates the KRP-350-FR for 3 hours in ceilings.
